Wonderful colln of well over 800 stamps inc New Republic, above all Transvaal, esp the imperf 'coat of arms' issues inc various multiples, followed by an exten study of the V.R. ovpts, perf & imperf, copiously written up recognising the diff forgeries by for eg Spiro, Goldner (via Otto), Panelli, Pirl, Fournier, etc. The imperf 'postzegel' are extremely dangerous & there is much here that will challenge even the most advanced coll or dealer. There are later issues to £5 & throughout the colln, genuine is present for comparison purposes. An opp for the specilaist. £1500

796 UNITED STATES AMERICA. A most unusual study, methodically collected by Scott from #OX1 through to #OX33c, with most Scott numbers present including 4 examples of the first large registered, 3 of which are used, many of the scarce shades between #OX3 and #OX18, including a booklet pane of 4 #OX18a and various other blocks of 4 and strips of 5 different types. All in all over 100 examples, difficult to reassemble again. A highly recommended viewing inluding unlisted varieties. £300
797 UNITED STATES AMERCIA. One of the scarcest back of the book for the Department of Conservation is the 1953 $1 blue trout stamp, specifically for the State of Michigan, here in a sheet marginal block of 6 mint never hinged imperforate. The top right hand stamp does have partial gum due to the distribution at the time of the printing, however the overall appearance is superb, and this block is as rare as any duck stamp!! £200
